Barbara Mori Ochoa is an actress with Uruguayan, Japanese, and Mexican blood. She was involved in acting and modeling, but her biggest role came in 2004 when she played Rubi in a telenovela for Televisa.
Mori started work modeling and later became a telenovela actress with TV Azteca when she starred in the soap opera Azul Tequila.Her big break came in 2004, with the remake of the telenovela Rubà by rival network Televisa, in which she played the title character.

Sizzling liplock between topless Barbara with Hrithik Roshan
‘Kites’ hits the screens, the movie is creating ripples enough about the sensuous and flirty scenes between the two actors, but the international version of the movie seems to have far bolder scenes than the desi version. The international one has a sizzling liplock between topless Barbara with Hrithik Roshan which is censored to the Indian audience. With Nandana Sen’s ‘Rang Rasiya’ already clearing off the censor with topless scenes, the question arises that do movie makers still doubt the maturity of Indian audience.
Payal Rohatgi, who is known for her ‘bold’ image says, “I think the Indian audience is not mature enough. Men download images to gratify themselves but movies are a different genre. Movies are meant for family watching and a raunchy promo will insure that family audiences don’t pull in. So movie makers are also vary,”
Film critic Taran Adarsh says, “At the click of the button you can access information. Technology cannot be curtailed. Anything can be seen online even if you try to keep it away from film prints.”

Barbara and SRK meets
Barbara Mori continues to make waves. She is gaining a firm foothold in Bollywood as the leading lady of Kites and as the Roshan’s new discovery. Recently, she was introduced to Shah Rukh Khan through her friends Hrithik and Susanne Roshan.
The lady is in town to promote Kites and is at present put up at the Oakwood apartment in Juhu. SRK threw a surprise bash for her at his palatial abode Mannat. Barbara also met up with inner circle comprising of Arjun Rampal, Mehr Jessia, Chunky and Bhavna Pandey, Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor and Neelam Kothari! They all enjoyed the IPL finale together.
The lady was floored by the Bollywood badshah and his wife Gauri’s hospitality. A source told Sampurn Media that she is now keen to work with Shah Rukh. She reportedly stated that though she hasn’t seen any of his films, she would love to star opposite him. That’s top on her wish list! Barbara is eager to work with another superstar after Hrithik. It’s evident that the Mexican stunner is here to stay!
Hrithik-Barbara will not die in Kites
A couple of days ago, the newspapers had run stories saying that Kites would have a tragic ending. The two lead characters, played by Hrithik and Barbara were shown committing suicide. The news was met with dismay by the audiences, especially Hrithik’s fans. Kites is being promoted as a love-story with a difference. Hrithik plays an Indian salsa instructor and Barbara, his Mexican student. The message given out was that love transcends language barriers! Naturally people had not expected it to have an Ek Duje Ke liye kind of climax.
However, director Anurag Basu has lashed out, claiming that these rumours are false. He strongly denied that the above version was the ending of Kites, saying that it has another end altogether. He reportedly said that such rumours plant a films perception in the minds of the people, which is very disturbing. A similar incident had taken place some time back when steamy scenes from the film were leaked onto the internet. The hype surrounding the film can be attributed to the fact that this is the Hrithik first release in two years. His fans can rejoice as the star, reportedly will not be dying in the movie!

Hrithik states that Barbara had watched some of his not-so-nice videos on YouTube when his father, Rakesh Roshan told her that he would be her co-star. He made her watch the DVDs in order to prove to her that he was a good performer and also to give her an idea about Indian cinema. The DVDs also changed her opinion about him.
Hrithik asserts that it wasn’t just Barbara whose opinion changed. Everyone else who watched the DVD also had a change of opinion.
Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori, whose chemistry has been the talk of the town for a while now, even though their film Kites is yet to release. However, Barbara wasn’t very sure of working with Hrithik and had her doubts about the actor after watching some of his videos on YouTube.

How are you today?
I am really excited because Kites is the biggest film I have ever done. I never imagined that I would come to Bollywood and be a part of a film made for audience all over the world. Kites will be very important for my career because this is my first international movie. I can´t wait!
One hears that you have performed some daring stunts in the film? Were you scared? Tell us about some of the stunts...
I was not scared at all, because I like danger. I was really very impressed with the action director and with car crashes and explosions. Hrithik is so good at action, I was learning a lot from him. The action director kept dissuading me from doing my stunts because they were dangerous. But I went to Hrithik and told him I can do it. So he said okay and convinced the action director to let me do my own action stunts. We had a lot of fun. It was the best experience of my career!
Are you open to doing more films in Bollywood post Kites?
Of course, I would love to do more movies in Bollywood. It will be a pleasure for me.
Why have you stayed away from Mumbai for so long? Shouldn’t you be here to publicise your film?
I live in Mexico with my son and my family and I have been working so much in my country. Of course I will come to India soon. I’m looking forward to it.
Are you aware of the entire media circus around your teaming up with Hrithik Roshan?
Working with Hrithik was an amazing experience because he is a very good companion and now a very good friend. As co-stars, Hrithik and I got along really well, he gave me the confidence to do a few scenes that I was initially scared of like the underwater swimming scene.
There is also talk of physical intimacy between Hrithik and you in the movie...
