Rani Mukherjee, whose career is going through a low phase at the moment, has lost out to another big film project. It's known that the actress opted out of Deepa Mehta's upcoming film which is based on Salman Rushdie's novel Midnight's Children.
The reason for Rani's refusal is thought to be the role that was offered to her. According to reports published, Rani was given the role of a teenager's mother which she was not comfortable portraying since it would amount to risking her career further. Though, the actress has played the role of a mother in the film TA RA RUM PUM, but given the fact that none of Rani's films has worked recently, the actress is being extra careful about the portrayal in her forthcoming films.
Now, that Rani has lost out this film project, let's hope the actress finds the right role to stop her career from sinking completely.
