SRK Lux Cozi brand in IPL team

With increasing amount of pressure from various Muslim religious groups, SRK has decided to annul his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders sponsorship association with Lux Cozi brand. A Muslim group had issued a fatwa against SRK for associating with Lux Cozi, who were responsible for the death of Muslim graphic designer Rizwanur Rahman, who had married his daughter Priyanka Todi. Syed Noor-ur-Rehman Barkati, Shahi Imam of Tipu Sultan Mosque in Kolkatta talking about SRK’s association with Lux Cozi said, “He has lots of money. Why is he becoming the brand ambassador of a company owned by such a controversial man? I am issuing a fatwa to all Hindus and Muslims to boycott the movie.” KKR released a statement yesterday thar read, “Respecting the sentiments of Kolkata and people of Bengal, both Lux Industries and KKR have decided to put their association on hold until issues are resolved and the sensitivities of the aggrieved group are adequately addressed.”
