Besides shooting an AIDS commercial with her team’s captain, Kumar Sangakkara and other team players, the team will be donating 25% of the profit they earn from selling their merchandise to UNAIDS. “All our players will sport red ribbons during their matches. In our first match against Delhi Daredevils, we will take an HIV positive person to the toss to convey our message against stigma and discrimination,” said Preity. India is home to 2.3 million HIV positive people; it makes us so proud to know that someone like Miss Zinta, who holds the position to create awareness about AIDS, is taking her responsibility so seriously.
