Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor made a valiant bid for the Pune IPL bid, but lost out to the Sahara Group. Apparently, it was the steep price that sent Saif reeling. Padma Shri Khan told the media, "We'd seen it as a business proposition, but certainly not at $ 370 million. That just didn't make sense to us!"
The canny Khan confessed that there was mounting pressure as he came from a "cricket family,". Asserting that he isn't disappointed losing out to Sahara, the Junior Nawab states, "Both, Bebo and I love cricket. Glamour and IPL go together… but only at a workable price."
