Stars in Sahara Sports Awards 2010

 

Sachin Tendulkar, boxing ace MC Mary Kom and wrestling superstar Sushil Kumar took the top honours at the Sahara India Sports Awards in Mumbai, on Saturday.

The Sportswoman of the Year went deservedly to world champion MC Mary Kom, while the Indian Davis Cup beat the Indian cricket team to take home the Team of the Year Award.

T20 World Cup Schedule 10 starts from tomorrow (April 30th)

T20 World Cup Schedule 10 starts from tomorrow (April 30th) with opening match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand at Guyana. The Indian cricket schedule 2010 in T20 World cup will start from May 1, 2010 with match against Afghanistan at St. Lucia. ICC Cricket schedule 2010 for T20 World cup is from April 30, 2010 to May 16, 2010.
The countries playing in T20 World Cup are
Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, South Africa, India, Afghanistan, West Indies, England and Ireland. All the 12 countries are divided in 4 groups A, B, C and D. Matches within groups will take place till May 5, 2010. Top 2 teams from each group will be selected for Super 8.

A R Rahman's six years old son Alim

Oscar award winner A R Rahman's six years old son Alim is going to make his debut in Hollywood as a singer.

He has sung a song under his father's music for the Hollywood film Couples Retreat. The film is a romantic comedy, which has been directed by Peter Billingsly with the lead actors Vince Vaughn, Kristen Bell and Jason Bateman.

Alim has sung a complete song in this film and the entire family is proud of his talent.

Rahman has introduced many new talents to Indian film industry
. Earlier Rahman had introduced his nephew GV Prakash Kumar as a singer in Gentleman.

Saif, Kareena spend quality time with Pataudi, Sharmila

Mumbai, Aug 3 (IANS) With the stress of his first production 'Love Aaj Kal' finally over and elated with the positive audience response, Saif Ali Khan decided to unwind by spending time with his parents. And girlfriend Kareena Kapoor joined in, making it a real cosy affair.

'I was a little under the weather on Friday and very anxious about how 'Love Aaj Kal' will be received. But now I'm fine. Yes, Kareena and I were chilling out with abba (Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi) and amma (Sharmila Tagore) all day on Friday,' Saif told IANS.

Saif flew into Delhi for a special screening of 'Love Aaj Kal' on Thursday. After the event, rest of the 'Love Aaj Kal' cast and crew flew back - director Imtiaz Ali to Mumbai, Deepika Padukone to London, but Saif stayed back.

The film released Friday and got an overwhelming response.

'The reports coming in about 'Love Aaj Kal' are very encouraging. Both the reviews and the box office collections have been very generous. I couldn't have hoped for a better start as a producer,' said the actor

According to a source, 'It was just Saif, Kareena and his parents bonding the whole day far away from any intrusion. Not even their cellphones were allowed. It was one of the most joyful family reunions and Saif came out of the day totally rejuvenated and more convinced than ever that Kareena is indeed the Chhoti Beghum of the Pataudi family.'
